Dream vacation
Dear readers, it’s been a while. I just got back from Nepal and Bali, two wonderful places. My favorite thing in Nepal was a private helicopter tour to one of Mount Everests base camps! The views were stunning, not to mention so cool to see the worlds tallest mountain. But best of all, my now fiancé proposed to me in the sweetest way with a custom made ruby and diamond ring on Mount Everest! I was taken fully by surprise and love how much thought and planning he put into both making the ring and proposing.

Bali. Endless beaches, monkey forests, delicious food and friendly people. This quickly became a favorite place. We stayed at 3 different hotels: in Seminyak, Ubud and Jimbaran. At the first place we mainly relaxed by the pool and the beach which had direct access from the hotel. I tried surfing for the first time and it was so much harder than expected! Ubud was the place where we did the most activities. We visited the Monkey Forest, rice terraces took an Instagram tour with Bali’s most famous (and instaworthy) locations. We saw the Gates of Heaven, a water palace with loads of fish we fed, a waterfall and rice terraces where we got to sit on a swing wearing a dress. We also made our own silver jewelry. I made a ring and earrings.

The last three days were spent in Jimbaran at the most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed at. We went to an elephant sanctuary and got to wash and swim with them. The next day we went snorkeling and saw turtles, stingrays and lots of colorful fish. We visited a small island called Nusa Penida which has a cool mountain formation.

We had a wonderful time and I recommend visiting especially Bali! I’m already missing the heat, beaches and delicious hotel breakfasts.
