Have you ever had a crazy week where it just leaves you exhausted towards the end of the week? That was me last week.
Modern society gives you more value if you are productive all the time. You can argue that you shouldn’t let society define what is acceptable or correct, but in the end we are shaped by the expectations around us.
Here’s a wonderful memory from my last summer holiday.

Let’s take an example from my life. I’m currently taking a Msc in Global Health, I work two jobs, I workout on average 5 times a week and also have a social life. Last weekend I took a climbing course (certified to secure climbers, yay!) and in the evenings after the course I had dinner with my friends and went to a concert. Then I worked 2 days, where one of my shifts was 12 hours. Between working, kickboxing and climbing, and hanging out with friends I worked on my Thesis. That didn’t leave much time for rest. So when this weekend came around it was nice to just relax and binge watch The Handmaids Tale. On saturday I met a friend at a bar to see another friend and his band (Fabeldyr) play their music.
Because I’m an extrovert and love having a lot going on it also sometimes makes me say Yes to more than I have the energy for. So lately I’ve been more mindful of how I spend my time. This week I have slightly less planned and it feels good 😀
